Hello Sai Raju,

Thanks for your post in Microsoft Community.

Regarding to the problem that the calendar tab is missing, there is a chance that someone changed the related policy. To check it, please contact Office 365 administrator to go to Microsoft Teams admin center and then follow the steps below:

1.  Sign into Microsoft Teams admin center as an Office 365 administrator.

2.  Click Users in the left pane and then select your account.

3.  In your account information page, click Policy and select the policy under App setup policy.

4.  In Pinned apps section, please check whether Calendar is in the list. If not, click Add apps to add Calendar into the list.

If the issue still persists, please provide the following information to me for further assistance:

  1.  Please confirm with other users whether they encountered the same problem.

2.  Please provide the screenshot of this issue to me.

3.  Whether the Calendar shows up in Teams Web App?

4.  Since you mentioned that you got license error when sign into Outlook Web App, please try this link in InPrivate/incognito mode and check whether you can sign in: https://outlook.office365.com. If you still get error, please share the screenshot of the error with me and I will do my best to help you.

Regards,

Seven

How do I solve this? Surely there must be a simple way. I have limited computer skills. What on earth is a 'calendar tab?' There is no 'file tab' when I open Outlook. Help would be very much appreciated.

One or more folders in your mailbox is named incorrectly.

The name of one or more of your folders includes the character "/" or more than 250 characters. Folders with names that include this character can't be downloaded to your IMAP e-mail program. Please rename these folders:

    1. Check your Office365 licensing to verify that you have a subscription license that includes Exchange Online.
    2. Verify that your mailbox is actually hosted in the online service.

You do not 'need' to have Outlook per se, but you have to have that Exchange Mailbox in Office365 such that - using your Microsoft Work or School login - Teams can access your mailbox.  (I am not sure if there is a license that includes Exchange Online but does not include Outlook online... maybe?!?... never thought to look)

If you are able to login to Office.com and you are not able to access Outlook, it means that one of the following:

        a. You do not have an Exchange Online License or

        b. Your mailbox is not hosted in 365 (i.e. you have a hybrid setup and your mailbox resides on an on-premise server).

        c. You have both of these, but your Office license does not include Outlook online (pretty sure this license doesn't exist)

        d. You are logging into the 'wrong' Office.com account (i.e. your are looking at a home account rather than Work/School - yes, this is possible and yes it happens all the time, and yes they can be the exact same username and password and still go to very different places)

In any of these cases, Teams cannot access your Exchange Mailbox.  If Teams cannot access your Exchange Mailbox, it cannot present your Calendar... so it doesn't give you the calendar tab.

(Yes, it is possible to have an on-premise mailbox in Exchange 2016 SP3 or later and have it configured such that it is available from Teams - I'm yet to find someone who has that configured properly and functional for more than a couple of weeks before Microsoft makes a change that disconnects it and requires troubleshooting and reconfiguration, so anybody in that scenario has pretty much given up on trying.)

    What worked for us.

If the calendar doesn't appear in Teams

If the user can't schedule a Teams meeting

    1. https://office.com

Go with the administrator account on the office.com administration console

Find the user and add the Office 365 A1 license to him

    Record

    1. https://admin.teams.microsoft.com

    Find user

    Strategies tab

    Click on Live Events Strategy

    Uncheck Allow scheduling

    Record

    Check again Allow scheduling

    Record

Ask the user to log out and exit Teams (both the app and the web page). Close all internet browsers.

Reconnect the user and it should work
