I updated to MacOS Catalina and now I cannot share my app screens. I can share my desktop, but that is all others can see.

Found it.

Screen Recording

My system had an entry (unchecked) for Microsoft teams. I think it asked me as I was launching but I blew by it. Not sure how you'd add it if it's not there. You just have to turn it on, and Teams screen sharing will work.

Resetting Screen Capture privacy settings with tccutil reset ScreenCapture com.microsoft.teams does not resolve the problem with Microsoft Teams Version 1.3.00.26266 @ macOS Catalina 10.15.7 on a new MacBook Pro which out of the box was 10.15.6 and was updated to 10.15.7 right after installation. At the same time, old MacBook Pro, where Teams were initially installed years ago and upgraded together with macOS, works as expected - Teams is on Screen Capture list, allowed and shares the screen fine, even though it's also 1.3.00.26266 @ 10.15.7.

Seems like at some point Teams lost the code to request access but if earlier versions of it already requested and were granted permission, macOS seems to respect this selection.

This worked for me when all the other solutions discussed here didn't...

One thing to try is to boot into Recovery mode. And disable System Integrity Protection. Then restart and and try to share and see if the option in privacy and security shows up. Then reboot to recovery mode and enable it again.

    1. Reboot and hold CMD + R until the progress bar appears under the Apple logo
    2. Once on recovery screen, open the Terminal from the top menu bar and type "csrutil disable"
3. Reboot and try to share in Teams and access the Privacy / Sharing options
    4. When you're done, repeat step 1 and 2 except "csrutil enable" for the command

    Betty -

MS Teams doesn't show up in my Screen Recording window in Security & Privacy.  It was working great, but then I had to reload the MacOS and now it isn't there.  I've removed and reloaded all Office 365 apps and still no go.  HELP!!!!
