I updated to MacOS Catalina and now I cannot share my app screens. I can share my desktop, but that is all others can see.

Found it.

Screen Recording

My system had an entry (unchecked) for Microsoft teams. I think it asked me as I was launching but I blew by it. Not sure how you'd add it if it's not there. You just have to turn it on, and Teams screen sharing will work.

I had the same issue where Teams was checked for screen recording but it would not work. I uninstalled completely (appcleaner) and reinstalled and it worked.

I removed Skype for Business from my machine and I have been getting better results. It isn't 100% but now 70-80% of the time I can do a screen share.

So, I finally figured it out on my own, with 3 weeks without screen share capabilities. I don't know who to blame on this Microsoft or Apple, but the fact that other screen sharing services have pushed out fixes is really troublesome to me.

I have to use teams all day and I am project manger so I am constantly using Screen share. This has been REALLY ANNOYING to say the least.

For me I saw on other forums and here that other people were having luck with quitting apps and testing one by one until they got screen share to work. For me it was the Microsoft To Do Application that was causing the issue. As soon as I closed it, I was able to screen share, and when I open it screen share is not available.

It should be embarrassing to both Microsoft and Apple here. To leave all these customer's for weeks without an update or an answer to restore their service. Mainly to be right now, it is Microsoft since it is another one of their products that is causing my issue.

    Get it together guys!

    Thanks Deblanko.

For me it´s the "drumroll" Microsoft ToDo-app... :D

Yes, same for me. Closing Microsoft To Do solved the problem.
