MacOS Catalina and Teams Screen Sharing

I updated to MacOS Catalina and now I cannot share my app screens. I can share my desktop, but that is all others can see.

My system had an entry (unchecked) for Microsoft teams. I think it asked me as I was launching but I blew by it. Not sure how you'd add it if it's not there. You just have to turn it on, and Teams screen sharing will work.

    Hi All,

    Thanks again for your efforts and sharing workarounds in the thread.

    Sometimes some applications may cause the compatible issue and you can try to close other apps to confirm which application caused the issue. For different customers, it may be different applications. I also confirmed with the relevant team, for those who still have the issue, the fix will be released in the future recently.

    Your understanding and patience would be highly appreciated.

    I took the advice in the post below and closed MS ToDo. Screen sharing instantly began working.

    Does that count as a third-party application :)?

    I have found that Microsoft To Do for MacOS is causing the problem for me. If To Do is open then I cannot share desktop in Teams. Closing To Do and magic, I can share desktop in Teams without being prompted to change security settings.

    It seems strange to me that there are such a wide selection of apps causing this issue with no apparent commonality. What is common between Cisco AnyConnect VPN, Sonos and Microsoft To Do?

    Anyway, for now I know I can just close To Do and it will work....but there has to be a better solution.
