MacOS Catalina and Teams Screen Sharing

I updated to MacOS Catalina and now I cannot share my app screens. I can share my desktop, but that is all others can see.

My system had an entry (unchecked) for Microsoft teams. I think it asked me as I was launching but I blew by it. Not sure how you'd add it if it's not there. You just have to turn it on, and Teams screen sharing will work.

    I have found that it does work if you are not running the Office app in full screen mode when you go to pick which app to share. If not in full screen mode, Teams can see it for you to pick.

    Alternately, you can go to teams.microsoft.com in your browser to run Teams from there and screensharing works as normal.

    It appears Teams doesn't offer Excel for window sharing. Word, Powerpoint, Outlook, Safari, Chrome are available for window sharing without any problem. I have O365 up to date (insider slow).

    Any idea why Teams behaves so strange?

    Hi,

    What works for me (and most misbehaving applications):

    remove the prefs for MS Teams in 

    /Users/*Your*username*/Library/Preferences/

    I do this via the Terminal, but you can use the Finder also (use menu "Go>Go to folder"):

    Stop MS Teams.

    open Terminal screen and type (or copy/paste):

    cd ./Library/Preferences/

    rm com.microsoft.teams.plist

    If you're very prudent, copy it to f.i. your desktop with: cp com.microsoft.teams.plist ./Desktop

    Open MS Teams again.

    I got asked by three applications (Skitch and two teams MS Teams) to allow "screen capture" in System Preferences>Security&Privacy>ScreenRecording

    From System Preferences > Security & Privacy go to Privacy tab.

    Select Accessibility and unlock the lock icon. Enable "Microsoft Teams Helper" and it worked for me well.
