I updated to MacOS Catalina and now I cannot share my app screens. I can share my desktop, but that is all others can see.

Found it.

System Preferences

Security & Privacy

Privacy

Screen Recording

My system had an entry (unchecked) for Microsoft teams. I think it asked me as I was launching but I blew by it. Not sure how you'd add it if it's not there. You just have to turn it on, and Teams screen sharing will work.

Hello Henk, thank you very much for your kindly answer. Unfortunately it didn't work... I deleted the file and followed very careful your instructions and nothing..... I do have the notification in MS Teams about the permission need but after clicking on it nothing happens. When opening the Privacy / screen recording there is not option to add MS Teams, it is empty.

Unfortunately I didnt work for me either. Any other suggestions?

    Hi,

What works for me (and most misbehaving applications):

remove the preference file for MS Teams in

    /Users/*Your*username*/Library/Preferences/

I do this via the Terminal, but you can use the Finder also (use menu "Go>Go to folder"):

    Stop MS Teams.

open Terminal screen and type (or copy/paste):

    cd ./Library/Preferences/

    rm com.microsoft.teams.plist

If you're very prudent, copy it to f.i. your desktop with: cp com.microsoft.teams.plist ./Desktop

    Open MS Teams again.

After this I got asked by three applications (Skitch and two times MS Teams) to allow "screen capture" in System Preferences>Security&Privacy>ScreenRecording

    Regards,

    Henk

Hello! I am having problems with sharing screen. I don´t have the option to allow MS Teams into Screen Recording. Also in MS Teams when I click on the pop up message regarding permission to share your screen nothing happens.

I am a bit desperate! Thanks for your help !

    Best, Mauricio
