MacOS Catalina and Teams Screen Sharing

I updated to MacOS Catalina and now I cannot share my app screens. I can share my desktop, but that is all others can see.

My system had an entry (unchecked) for Microsoft teams. I think it asked me as I was launching but I blew by it. Not sure how you'd add it if it's not there. You just have to turn it on, and Teams screen sharing will work.

    Thanks for the suggestion but the file or folder or application TeamsUpdaterDaemon is not present in the Microsoft folder. So I could not delete it.

    I have, however:

    • restarted the mac
    • closed Chrome
    • deleted and re-installed Teams
    • changed the view from full screen to window on Teams
    • set all the permissions correctly
    • closed and restarted Teams

    Nothing worked and I still can't share my screen. I am about to dump this piece of garbage and go back to using Slack, to be honest.

    Hi Team, 

    Iam facing the same issue, unable to screen share on teams post updating to Mac Catalina 10.15.2. Have checked the security permissions for teams to allow screen recording option "enabled", no luck yet. could you please help resolve this, most of my meetings with customers are on teams.

    Teams version : 1.2.00.34155

    Teams is still broken. Sharing works intermittently. May be related to Chrome or window in full screen or another issue that hasn't been discovered until now.  I don't have time to find a work around for this stuff.

    I am on latest Catalina version and on the latest Teams version. I have restarted my mac and also granted all the required permissions.

    Such a waste of my time!

    i've spent hours with microsoft on the phone, rebooting, restarting, reinstalling, etc..etc..   these guys are completely useless, they won't just acknowledge the bug, instead they waste our time.   it's so frustrating.    they told me the issue is isolated and no one else has the issue.   i pointed them to this thread but they don't seem to understand.   seems you need to spend days on the phone with support to get anywhere.

    although it will probably get you nowhere, I do hope others try to open support requests with MS to get resolution.
