MacOS Catalina and Teams Screen Sharing

I updated to MacOS Catalina and now I cannot share my app screens. I can share my desktop, but that is all others can see.

My system had an entry (unchecked) for Microsoft teams. I think it asked me as I was launching but I blew by it. Not sure how you'd add it if it's not there. You just have to turn it on, and Teams screen sharing will work.

    The problem re-appears once you stop sharing and try and re-share the screen. This time even if teams is not running in full-screen mode and chrome is not running, the screen share does not show the desktop sharing option.

    I faced similar issue but after waiting for a couple of minutes even in full screen mode the screen sharing starts working when you retry.

    This solved the issue for me too. I would never have found that out myself as I am using TEAMS in full screen usually...

    Same here -- always run in fullscreen, but sharing works in not-fullscreen. That is strange, but at least I have a workaround.

    I would just add one thing - after uninstalling and reinstalling Teams, as well as deleting the TeamsUpdaterDaemon folder, I still couldn't share my screen in Teams until I rebooted my Mac. After rebooting, screen sharing works fine.

    I guess that's just Microsoft troubleshooting 101 - when in doubt, reboot!
