MacOS Catalina and Teams Screen Sharing

I updated to MacOS Catalina and now I cannot share my app screens. I can share my desktop, but that is all others can see.

My system had an entry (unchecked) for Microsoft teams. I think it asked me as I was launching but I blew by it. Not sure how you'd add it if it's not there. You just have to turn it on, and Teams screen sharing will work.

    The above did not help me with my problem. I did find a good workaround though... I think....

    First, why didn't the above answer help? My system was already configured to Allow screen recording in Security & Privacy settings. I didn't have any luck with tracking the problem down internally (I heard it's actually an issue with MacOS but that's not confirmed).

    To get screen sharing to work, here is what I did:

    1. Quit Teams
    2. Disable/Disallow/Uncheck 'Screen Recording' for Microsoft Teams in 'Settings -> Security & Privacy'
    3. Open Teams
    4. Start a Meeting (confirmed that Screen Sharing is not available)
    5. Quit Teams
    6. Re-Enable/Allow/Check 'Screen Recording' for Microsoft Teams in 'Settings -> Security & Privacy'
    7. Open Teams
    8. Start a Meeting (confirm that Screen Sharing IS now available)

    It stinks and who knows how long it lasts but it's something. 

    Those steps did not fix the issue for me. I have the latest macOS Catalina and the latest Teams.

    I was reading it is something related with Apple. Not so sure about it... just had a meeting using Go To Meeting and it did request the exact same permission, I did allow it and it worked! 

    I will appreciate any other idea I can try. Thanks.

    Not sure if that's a true fix, but it worked for me on a Mac with 15.2, and Teams version 1.2.00.34155
