MacOS Catalina and Teams Screen Sharing

I updated to MacOS Catalina and now I cannot share my app screens. I can share my desktop, but that is all others can see.

My system had an entry (unchecked) for Microsoft teams. I think it asked me as I was launching but I blew by it. Not sure how you'd add it if it's not there. You just have to turn it on, and Teams screen sharing will work.

    This worked for me!! Been trying to figure out why Teams was not showing up in  System Preferences -> Screen Recording. I turned off the "New meeting experience" and boom, it asked for permission, and now it works!

    Have a new webcam winging its way for a mac mini.

    Hi, so did you do the following:

    • uncheck "Turn on new meeting experience" in settings
    • restart Teams
    • go into a meeting and share screen
    • it asks for permission to allow
    • at this point it should show up in the Security & Privacy -> Privacy -> Screen Recording

    Hi Betty,

    I have a similar problem: when trying to allow Teams the Screen Recording, MS Teams is not shown in the list, so I cannot make a tick in order to allow the recording.

    MS Teams is shown at the camera and microphone tabs, but not at the screen recording one. Do you have an idea what could be the reason of this problem?

    Having the same issue as you, LastCrusader. Didn't have the problem when initially updating to MacOS Catalina, but now with the 2nd update from yesterday I can no longer share it.
