Hi,

2 errors that appear to be related to a new team/channel being created.

When creating a new team, we can no longer get the email address nor change the picture. 

No issues with previously created teams/channels. 

Confirmed: 

  • Waited for 3 days
  • Error occurs on App and Web versions
  • App is on latest version
  • Error occurs on both Windows and Mac

    I don't think anyone is too uptight about changing the picture.  The inability to generate an e-mail address for a channel on recently added channels is very problematic.

    Hi All,

    I do understand you get the error " We're still setting up your team, you can change your picture when we're done" when changing the Teams picture. And get the error “We couldn’t get the email address of this channel. Please try again later” when generate a link for a Teams channel. 

    First, please go to Teams Website check if the issue persists, we need to narrow down whether it is client-side issue. (Teams in Windows, IOS, Android)

    Then, change the Teams picture by running PowerShell:

    1. Install Teams module:

    Open Powershell as administrator> type: Install-Module MicrosoftTeams

    1. Connect to Teams> run: Connect-MicrosoftTeams
    2. Get Team name:

    run: Get-Team

    1. Set the picture:

    Run: Set-Teampicture

    Please provide a screenshot if there is any error.

    Meanwhile, please provide the following information if you are not in this situation:

    1. When did you get the error? Please provide a screenshot of the error. Please check if the issue occurs in Team Website.
    2. Does the issue occur to all Teams, or only the Teams created recently?

    I've experience the same issue.  I'm also not concerned about uploaded a picture for the team, but the email address for the channels will be crucial for the use of the some of the teams I'd like to build.

    Same problem for us as well.  No ability to obtain an email address for channels.

    Same problem.  No e-mail address.  This is big as I'm trying to get people on board with teams.
