Setting up a new workspace or conversation thread for collaboration in Teams
I am having the same issue. I don't have any private channels but keep getting the message "Something is wrong. Please try again later."

Hi,
I'm a teacher, owner of a team for a subject, let's call this team Subject 1, which has 156 members in total, channels for every student group, etc. We are about to start a new subject that is a continuation of the previous one we just finished, and I'm trying to duplicate Subject 1 to make Subject 2 so it has all of its members automatically enrolled and distributed in channels as they are now, but for some reason it won't let me. When creating Subject 2 team using Subject 1 as a template I check boxes for Channels and Members (I've also tried checking all the boxes), then Teams try to set up the new team for a while but it can't, it says "We couldn't create a team because something went wrong. Please try again later". After that Subject 2 is actually created, but I'm the only member. I've been trying several times over two days but nothing.
Is there a way to fix it?
Thanks.

Negative. Public or Private the Team will not be created. "Something is wrong. Please try again later." This is a wonderful feature. This used to work, regardless of private or public, and now we just get a useless error. This has been consistent now for several months with no fix coming from MS. Money and time well spent migrating to this service!
Hi Serafin,
If you have a private channel, then duplicate team process complete with error. In that case, you might see that some contents are missing in the new team.

Hi Nik, thanks for your support.
Yes, there are private channels in the original Team I'm trying to use as a template. Do you mean that I can't duplicate a team if it has private channels?
Thanks,
Serafin
Hi SerafinAlvarez,
I'm Nik, an independent advisor here to assist you with this.
May I know if you have any private channel(with a lock icon) in Team that you're copying?
I've experienced this issue in the past, and the private channel has caused the problem.

Nik
