Accessing Teams App

Hi,

I can access Teams via a web browser but I am having problems access Teams via the app.

When I start Teams app I get the small box with the Teams icon and it says "Loading Mircosoft Teams..." the three dots look as if something is loading however it doesn't progress from this screen.

Does anyone have any ideas why I can access via the browser but not the app? I have tried to reinstall the app, but that didn't help.

Thanks for your assistance.

Paul

Since you log in to the test user account which is a fresh new account, I don't think removing the account from the local computer can help.

If you need to unlink the account between personal and work account then you are better to go with this article: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/whic...

    In Step 1 I got:

If I press Disconnect the message reappears. So I have to click cancel.

In Step 2 - I have no entry in the Generic Credentials which references Microsoft Teams - should I have?

    Thanks for your assistance Daniel.

That's correct. That's about email alias.

Please follow these steps to remove MS Teams credentials on your local computer.

    Step 1

    • Exit MS Team app.
    • Go to Windows settings > Accounts >
    • Select "Access Work and School" > Select old work account > Click Disconnect
    • Sign out and Sign in again. Go to "Email & App account" > Click on old work account and Remove

    Step 2:

    • Click Windows Start > Control Panel > User Accounts > Credential Manager.

Note: if View by is set to Category, click user accounts first, and then click Credential Manager.

    • Select the Windows Credentials option. Locate the set of credentials that has either Microsoft Teams in the name and then expand the corresponding folder.
    • Click Remove from Vault (depending on which version of Windows you are running).

    Kind Regards

Sorry Daniel the link shows how I can change the alias. Is that correct?

There must be someone on my new PC (locally) that is defaulting Teams to my personal account, and my personal account has no org's associated with with. Do you know where that it stored?

If you are getting this kind of message, actually you can get rid of the prompt as explained in the following article: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/whic...

    Kind Regards
