Bluetooth Headset not working with teams.

I have a pair of Bluetooth Skullcandy Hesh 3 Headphones, and they have 2 connections with my laptop.

1)Hesh 3 Stereo

2)Hesh 3 Hands-Free AG Audio

When I use Hands free AG Audio, there is some static disturbance. When watching videos, stereo option gives great sound quality but for some reason it doesn't give any sound during a meeting in teams. In device settings during a meeting, once I choose Hesh 3 Stereo, the voice just stops.

Hello, am also struggling to use my bluetooth headphone with built in microphone with teams. It works absolutely well if i have to listen to music but on teams calls - others can hear me but i cannot. The only way it works is when i select built in speakers and then it works. Ironically on Teams live events i can hear the speaker. I tried option 1 and 2 and it does not work. I tried 3 and surprise surprise the speaker and mic both work like charm. Can you help with next steps.

With so much working from home and calls - i really need a bluetooth device that allows me to stand and move around.

    Hello Hussein

I am V. Arya, Independent Advisor, to work with you on this issue.

    1. Open Teams app - Click your picture on top right - Settings - Permissions - Media permission should be ON.

Also in Devices - Check for Audio Devices - By default, it is properly selected. If not, select it properly. Not having the right microphone / speaker selected is a major cause of this issue.

    1. If above doesn't work, assuming this is Windows 10 (if any other OS, let me know)

Press Windows key, hold it and press i

    Privacy - Microphone

Allow apps to access your Microphone - Should be ON

Choose which Store apps can access your Microphone and Allow desktop apps to access your Microphone - Teams should be ON wherever it appears

    1. Try from Web Teams using Edge or Chrome browser and let me know whether it works or not. This will help me to diagnose where is the issue - https://teams.microsoft.com/

Please update me with the result. If above doesn't work, I will provide other steps.

Option 3: using browser based teams  works - nothing else has worked for me so far. can you help suggest what should be done.

Bluetooth headsets completely stopped working for me after a recent teams update. I have tried multiple headsets.

Oh and this via the mobile app where the bt headsets still work for every other app just not for teams calls.

Whats more is this is something that did work until recent.

This issue just adds to the ridiculousness that is Teams. I cant see how this product could be a viable communications product when it simply doesnt work for soooo many use cases.
