Managing sound and video settings during Teams meetings and calls
Hello V. Arya,
I can't find Permissions under Settings in Teams. There is nothing like that. I have the same problem as the first guy above.
This is what I sent to MS support, but Teams support is nowhere to be found:
Hello, my bluetooth earphones/headset work well on my Windows 10 64-bit computer, but when I use Teams (especially when sharing my screen WITH sound) it stops working. Then I have to switch to my camera's microphone. Sometimes I have to disconnect my earphones before I can select the other mic and speakers. Here is the error message below:
Couldn't share sound
Go to your device's audio settings and select "Headphones (VXO200 Stereo)".
In Skype it works fine. However, when I share my sound I can only hear the person on the other side and not the computer sound but the other person can hear both me and the computer sound. Note: Both my microphone and speakers is set to Headset in Skype and Teams.
Hello Hussein
I am V. Arya, Independent Advisor, to work with you on this issue.
- Open Teams app - Click your picture on top right - Settings - Permissions - Media permission should be ON.
Also in Devices - Check for Audio Devices - By default, it is properly selected. If not, select it properly. Not having the right microphone / speaker selected is a major cause of this issue.- If above doesn't work, assuming this is Windows 10 (if any other OS, let me know)
Press Windows key, hold it and press i
Privacy - Microphone
Allow apps to access your Microphone - Should be ON
Choose which Store apps can access your Microphone and Allow desktop apps to access your Microphone - Teams should be ON wherever it appears
- Try from Web Teams using Edge or Chrome browser and let me know whether it works or not. This will help me to diagnose where is the issue - https://teams.microsoft.com/
Please update me with the result. If above doesn't work, I will provide other steps.
