Bluetooth Headset not working with teams.

I have a pair of Bluetooth Skullcandy Hesh 3 Headphones, and they have 2 connections with my laptop.

1)Hesh 3 Stereo

2)Hesh 3 Hands-Free AG Audio

When I use Hands free AG Audio, there is some static disturbance. When watching videos, stereo option gives great sound quality but for some reason it doesn't give any sound during a meeting in teams. In device settings during a meeting, once I choose Hesh 3 Stereo, the voice just stops.

I have a similar issue - I'm using a Shokz bluetooth headset. It works with Teams on my phone and laptop but not on my PC. All drivers are up to date etc. I once (and only once despite repeated attempts) managed to complete a test call successfully but then it failed on the first call made immediately afterwards. Alas the new Teams set up does not support making a test call so I have no idea whether this would be any better with the new teams....

My setup worked fine for quite long before breaking down again after Teams and/or Windows updated themselves last on 2023/06/26.

    Teams updated to

    • 1.6.00.16472 (64-bit)

    Windows updated to

    • KB5027215 (OS Builds 19044.3086 and 19045.3086)
    • KB5027538 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5, 4.8 and 4.8.1 for Windows 10 Version 22H2

Issue still only with Teams for Windows desktop version.

Tried this. Sadly does not work for me.

Same problem, I can't hear others in my bluetooth headset, but I can hear them on speaker and they can hear me regardless.
Headset work, I can listen to music or whatever. I am at a loss here, it's clearly a bluetooth issue.

I have WH-1000XM4, but I can't find any devices with "Hands Free" in the name.

    I have under Bluetooth:

    WH-1000XM4

    WH-1000XM4 Avrcp Transport

I have under Sound, Video and Game Controllers:

    WH-1000XM4 Stereo

Later edit: I might be incredibly stupid, this was the issue for me:

Apparently there is a hidden volume meter called "Main volume" which you can't see from the sounds icon on the taskbar and can only see from the headset properties. Mine was muted, for a reason that eludes me. Once I unmuted, sound started working in Teams again via BT Headset.

This worked for me, there was an MSTeams entry for each of the headphones I have used, and one of them was set to default instead of the headshet. Changing from "default" fixed the issue. Thanks!
