Bluetooth Headset not working with teams.

I have a pair of Bluetooth Skullcandy Hesh 3 Headphones, and they have 2 connections with my laptop.

1)Hesh 3 Stereo

2)Hesh 3 Hands-Free AG Audio

When I use Hands free AG Audio, there is some static disturbance. When watching videos, stereo option gives great sound quality but for some reason it doesn't give any sound during a meeting in teams. In device settings during a meeting, once I choose Hesh 3 Stereo, the voice just stops.

a similar problem with Sennhieser Momentum 3 wireless earbuds - the solution for me on a Sony Xperia1iii phone is to edit the bluetooth settings and turn off "HD Audio:Qualcomm aptX Adaptive audio" and disconnect and reconnect to the earbuds.

Not good but it's a workaround...

Who is at fault here? Sennhieser, Sony or Microsoft? who knows.... I do know they will all blame each other :-(

I've also got issues with my Audio Technica ATH-M50xBT2 headset. When using the Audio Device (Hands-Free AG Audio) I often get very choppy audio (both what I hear from others, and how others hear me through my headset's mic).

The issue doesn't seem to affect other apps, or the Web version of Teams.

    I'm on Windows 10 Enterprise 21H2 build 19044.2130.

    Teams 1.5.00.21668 (64-bit).

I have the Windows Update patch which seems to potentially cause Audio issues https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/august-9-2022-kb5016616-os-builds-19042-1889-19043-1889-and-19044-1889-67412989-3b5f-4443-89b4-f743382ab970

Since this is a work laptop, I don't have administrator rights and can't install/update drivers or make any changes

What seems to temporarily solve the issue (it comes back eventually, haven't established a pattern). Is to clear the MS Teams Cache. Basically accessing my Roaming folder %USER_HOME%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Teams\ and delete all the contents therein, after quitting Teams first.

This is rather annoying and frustrating.

lol I can't believe this is still an issue after 2 years

I have the problem also. My Sennheiser BT 4.50 headphones no longer work in teams.. they have been working the last few years without issue, but suddenly they no longer work. I have a plantronics bluetooth headset which do work though.

My main headset (the BT 4.50's) are used for everything & i have no issue using them with any application or device, other than Teams & this has only started occurring the last few weeks. Maybe a dumb update broke things?

    It's a frustrating one

Similar problem now in 2022 as 2 years ago. My headset works fine with all other applications, but on team it does not work if I use the headset with mic enabled. I have to use laptop mic and choose the stereo option only. After the most recent Teams update it got worse. The Bluetooth LE emulator needs to be disabled on device settings for Teams audio, but after doing that the quality is worse... at least there is sound.
