Bluetooth Headset not working with teams.

I have a pair of Bluetooth Skullcandy Hesh 3 Headphones, and they have 2 connections with my laptop.

1)Hesh 3 Stereo

2)Hesh 3 Hands-Free AG Audio

When I use Hands free AG Audio, there is some static disturbance. When watching videos, stereo option gives great sound quality but for some reason it doesn't give any sound during a meeting in teams. In device settings during a meeting, once I choose Hesh 3 Stereo, the voice just stops.

    I have the same issues.
    They happend after i've got a new laptop. The previous one was working fine.

    My new laptop has a 64 bit version of teams and office and I am almost the only one in the office running this version.
    My colleagues are not experiencing these issues so I want to know what version people are running that encounter these issues.
    I am wondering if the 64-bit version is too blame.

    Like mentioned, old laptop worked fine for years with the same Sony BT headphones.

    Hi, I think it depends on how old is your old laptop.

    The problem we discovered in this thread is possibly caused by the Bluetooth low energy (LE) module, and it was introduced in version 4.0 (most laptop released in 2020 had a Bluetooth version 5 at least), so I guess your old laptop is running a lower BT version that would not cause this issue.

    After hours of googling, this actually worked! Although in my case (Anker Soundcore Boost), the service was called 'Hands free telephony'. But now my speaker works in Skype!

    Hi All,

    The problem with disabling Bluetooth LE is that some Bluetooth devices would stop working (e.g. my Logitech M585 in this case), so then this is the alternative I got after Googling thousands of pages.

    (Assume you did not disable any Bluetooth LE driver)

    1. Connect your Bluetooth headset

    1. Open Control Panel
    2. Open Device and Printers
    3. You will see your headphone connected as a device, right-click on it, choose properties
    4. From the "Services" tab, disable "Bluetooth telephony", click OK to commit changes.
    5. Disconnect and re-connect your device

    Doing so will cripple the mic on your Bluetooth headphone, that should do the same trick as "disabling Bluetooth LE", but you didn't kill the LE service so it does not affect other devices.  After making the changes you still need to choose an alternative mic to pick up your voice (bummer).

    This worked!

    But didn't have the choice "disable", so I tried uninstalling LE Enumerator driver(in device manager), and then it worked after re-pairing my bluetooth hands-free. :)

    I have/use: PLT V5200 from Plantronics.

    Teams Settings Devices: Headset (PLT V5200 Series Hands-Free AG Audio) on both speaker and Microphone.
