Can't see myself on the viewfinder during the call

Yeah, same here. Very inconsistent. Nevertheless, I did discover why the "Join" button wasn't showing up. When a meeting is scheduled using a "Group" as the scheduler and not a person with an actual mailbox, I never get the "Join" button. When it's a person scheduling the meeting, I do. I was in one such meeting today and I got the self-view box!

I never realized how critical that box is, especially when working from home. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the blur background feature while video conferencing. The self-view is soooo helpful to ensure you remembered to turn on blur background and that you have the camera properly positioned At such close range it's easy to get it so it's cutting part of you off without even realizing it.

Meaning you are accessing your teams meeting by click on the Teams link inside an appointment that you are viewing in Outlook Web?

I'm doing all three, the thick client, web, and directly accessing the meeting (when I can) using the calendar in MS Teams directly.

I wish I could pin down the missing self-view to a specific set of circumstances and/or criteria, but this beast is much more elusive.

Thank you @JB_User1. Yes - I was wondering if it was platform or interface specific. I tried it and same problems: It seems to persist across all the platforms. (Deep sigh).

I may check some of the config files in c:\Users{Username}\Data\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Teams - specifically the settings.json file [[BE CAREFUL HERE]] - just to see if there is a TRUE/FALSE toggle.

Could someone from Microsoft please look into this issue.  It clearly is one.  My staff member has just reported that this has started to happen to her now.  At the moment she is the only one in our Teams Tenant has the problem.  People can see her in Teams Meetings which indicates that the camera is on, but she no longer gets the self camera view in the bottom right corner.

For her, this makes it difficult, especially at the moment with being in Lockdown in New Zealand, for her to work with her young clients (she is a social worker).  She needs to be able to see what she's holding up to show them to make sure it's in view.

The screen shot I've added show the self viewer working on my laptop.  On hers there is not self view when having meetings.

We really like using Microsoft Teams  - it has some really awesome features but if this starts to happen to everyone we will have to reconsider our options.
