Can't see myself on the viewfinder during the call

I'm experiencing the same issue. It worked fine on my Desktop PC, but is not working on my laptop. Seems very odd, also extremely unsettling not being able to see yourself and also not being able to switch off the camera during a video meeting. Feels abit awkward not being able to see yourself, just guessing/hoping the camera is in a good position showing only my shoulders/head. 

If anyone figures out a solution to this issue please let me know.

Try updating Teams to the latest version. It has been successful for a few of us that were having the same problem. They were very adamant that it wasn't possible to see yourself but it worked for me once I updated Teams on my laptop. Hope that helps!

Hello! I had this EXACT problem. So frustrating. Ridiculous UN-help received from official microsoft channels on here too, appalling!

Hopefully I can help. Just spoken to my tech team - reason I couldnt see myself is I was accessing my MT meeting through the BROWSER rather than the Microsoft Teams APPLICATION. So ahead of your meeting, open the MT application itself in the bottom right, find your meeting in the app calendar and open the meeting from there. Dont click on the link in your Outlook calendar which opens a tab in your web page - a MT meeting using your browser will work just fine, you just wont be able to see yourself, AND THAT'S OUR PROBLEM. Never posted on here before, but HOPE THIS IS HELPFUL!

Same issue with a twist.  I've always been able to see myself in the lower right during my  20+ participant team calls or one on one calls in Teams.  Yesterday I set my "image" or photo in the communication icons for the Microsoft Suite.  Today I no longer have the camera view of myself during calls.  Since I work from home I routinely logged into an old meeting and "joined" an empty meeting to get this view to pop up before my call me make sure nothing random was visible during an upcoming call like my dirty clothes hamper or that the angle of the my camera wasn't looking right up my nose.    It was really useful and I want it back!

I think this is a bug. I've always gotten a self view in teams meetings as well. However, now I'm not seeing it anymore. I have an older Lenovo W531. It shows the self view. I have  brand new Lenovo, it does not.

Additionally, the "Turn on camera" button does not work on the new Lenovo, but it seems to work find on the old one. I think the latest version of Teams has problems.
