Can you mute by default whenever you enter a TEAMS meeting? I know this option is available in WebEx, but can't seem to find it in the settings in TEAMS.

I suspect (and hope) that nobody is asking for the default to be "muted" for everyone all the time. More that there should be a default and it should be settable by the user. Given that this has been an active request with hundreds of likes for over two years I suspect Microsoft dont care, which is a shame as it would be a useful feature. The worst thing about Microsoft ignoring this isnt the feature requested so much as the fact that it implies that Microsoft have no interest in making obviously logical improvements on any level :/ Its almost like they dont want people to engage with Teams...

It is patently obvious that MS don't care one bit about Teams users. The only answer is not to buy their garbage and not to work for companies who insist that you use it.

    +1

Googled the issue, found this thread. This is terrible UX and mind-blowing that it still hasn't been addressed.

+1. Really important feature to add, especially when joining meetings on the road. You don't have time or presence of mind to check whether your mic is on/off, so why can't the user always join meetings with camera/mic off and they can turn them on when they need to.
