TEAMS - mute by default when entering a meeting

Can you mute by default whenever you enter a TEAMS meeting? I know this option is available in WebEx, but can't seem to find it in the settings in TEAMS.

    Dear Teams concern,

    Have a nice day In RI Islam from BD, i need to know about the team meeting about when i connect with my teammates and its connections, when meeting is going on then anyone unfriendly mute on mic, it very much hampering on meeting sessions times, so i can't see the who is doing this mute, if possible to lets me know about this issue situation ? what i can do this time..?     MS always has other priorities and they frequently don't listen to their customers.

    Adding this option to Teams it not even difficult or very time consuming. MS simply needs to make a management decision to do the right thing but I'm not holding my breath. :(

    There are no settings to invoke or control this feature. It decides for you, most of the time you get lucky rolling the dice, but not always.

    We would very much like for there to be a setting, and to configure that setting to default to muted. No exceptions. But clearly, Microsoft has other priorities.

    yes, my teams is auto muting and i never activated that feature
