Audio output through bluetooth not working in teams app android

I  am  using Teams  app  android  to  attend  my online classes  but I am facing issues  with bluetooth speaker. I wanted  to  use  Nest  mini  for  audio  output so  I   paired  to  it through bluetooth  on  my android device and  audio  output of  all  the  apps  work  except teams. This  issue  seems  to  be  only  on  android  app  because on  the  desktop app on  windows 10 the  same  speaker  works  absolutely fine. In  the  android app  when  I  try  to  switch  the  audio  output to  bluetooth, within  a  second it  switches  back  to  device  audio. I  tried on another android device as  well  but no luck. I  am  running the  latest  teams  version  (as  no  updates  available in  Play  store). Any  help  is  welcome.

I am facing this issue only in android devices and Bluetooth is connected to the device and Mobile teams is not recognize it or not connecting through it.

Even after disconnecting from Bluetooth, even speaker option is not working as expected

It works only over the phone speaker and not even works on open speaker in mobile devices.

This needs to considered as priority as it has impact on almost all the users.

    Regards,

    Sajeev

Same Android issue. All devices, all apps up-to-date. Cache/storage cleared, app reinstalled, device restart, device unpaired/paired, etc. Just adding one more "C'mon Microsoft" to the mix.

    Hey RegieS,

Let me jump into this, I am also facing the same issue. While I am on call, I will not be able to restart the Teams Applications. Also, While I am on call, I connect my Bluetooth device to an Android, and when I switch the Bluetooth mode from device mode within a second, it switches to device mode automatically. You need to fix this bug or you need to come up with a better idea.

    Thanks,

    Mit Shah

This issue happened when 2 devices were connected to my bluetooth, I guess due to this teams app gets confused which device to connect, I unpaired 1 device and only let one device connected to bluetooth my problem was solved.

point is don't connect multiple devices to bluetooth while using teams app

this is a bug which needs to be solved by microsoft,

application must recongnize the audio device from the list of connected bluetooth devices and connnect automatically to it.

The reality is that Teams is shockingly unreliable when it comes to Bluetooth device connection. This has been going on for years, and it's apparent that Microsoft either can't fix it, or don't want to. It is universal, across Android devices of many times, and across lots of audio device types.

It tends to work just perfectly with Google Meet, so I'd very strongly suggest that anyone with influence, use Google Meet in preference to Teams. Teams is also terribly bad at handing multiple user account profiles, as well as being part of Microsoft's failing suite authentication.

For a tech company, the fact that the issue is so pervasive is unforgivable.
