I am using Teams app android to attend my online classes but I am facing issues with bluetooth speaker. I wanted to use Nest mini for audio output so I paired to it through bluetooth on my android device and audio output of all the apps work except teams. This issue seems to be only on android app because on the desktop app on windows 10 the same speaker works absolutely fine. In the android app when I try to switch the audio output to bluetooth, within a second it switches back to device audio. I tried on another android device as well but no luck. I am running the latest teams version (as no updates available in Play store). Any help is welcome.

i have the same problem. I have tried all the things suggested in this thread but it still doesnt work.
I was just recently able to get this to work by enabling the "nearby device"
Permission for teams on Android.
If you reinstall or delete all of the app data it should prompt you for this permission the next time you start teams and sign into your account.
You can also get to it in the Android settings>applications>teams>permissions

This was the only permission not allowed on the app once i turned it on. Worked perfectly. Thank you
Confirming this worked for me as well. This "allow nearby devices" must be a permission that gets turned off every so often with updates as I've used teams before with bluetooth headphones and then it just stopped working. This has happened several times before but managed to get resolved on its own. This direct action has fixed it for me. Thanks.
I had the same issue. I solved it by going on teams app authorizations on Android settings. By default teams was not authorized to connect to nearer devices.
