Audio output through bluetooth not working in teams app android

I  am  using Teams  app  android  to  attend  my online classes  but I am facing issues  with bluetooth speaker. I wanted  to  use  Nest  mini  for  audio  output so  I   paired  to  it through bluetooth  on  my android device and  audio  output of  all  the  apps  work  except teams. This  issue  seems  to  be  only  on  android  app  because on  the  desktop app on  windows 10 the  same  speaker  works  absolutely fine. In  the  android app  when  I  try  to  switch  the  audio  output to  bluetooth, within  a  second it  switches  back  to  device  audio. I  tried on another android device as  well  but no luck. I  am  running the  latest  teams  version  (as  no  updates  available in  Play  store). Any  help  is  welcome.

Our company have decided to remove all android from list of available devices because of many issues on Microsoft applications include this issue.

All workarounds were tested for this but only thing we could do was to restart BT devices, and this is critical when the people receives sudden call.

FYI, this issue occurs when we use Surface duo and microsoft BT :-(

Try these steps, works for me!!!

    • Go to Settings -> Apps -> Teams
    • Click Permissions
    • Make sure that Nearby Devices is allowed
    • Restart bluetooth headset
    • Close Teams and open again

Had a similar problem with blue tooth option not displayed in Teams call on my Galaxy A71. Problem was with the Teams app not having permissions for nearby devices. Solved by giving permission to Teams for nearby devices

Setting -> Apps -> Teams -> Permissions -> Nearby Devices allowed.

Not sure when the permission was revoked as the blue tooth option was working before.

    Working (for me)

    Google Pixle and Samsung S21

    Cleared Cache

    Uninstalled

    Installed

Pop up for nearby devices to be allowed or you can manually find it here:

Setting -> Apps -> Teams -> Permissions -> Nearby Devices allowed.
