Audio output through bluetooth not working in teams app android

I  am  using Teams  app  android  to  attend  my online classes  but I am facing issues  with bluetooth speaker. I wanted  to  use  Nest  mini  for  audio  output so  I   paired  to  it through bluetooth  on  my android device and  audio  output of  all  the  apps  work  except teams. This  issue  seems  to  be  only  on  android  app  because on  the  desktop app on  windows 10 the  same  speaker  works  absolutely fine. In  the  android app  when  I  try  to  switch  the  audio  output to  bluetooth, within  a  second it  switches  back  to  device  audio. I  tried on another android device as  well  but no luck. I  am  running the  latest  teams  version  (as  no  updates  available in  Play  store). Any  help  is  welcome.

Joining the chorus of frustration with a message of hope... Our company lives on Teams and my Bluetooth/Teams connectivity quit on me a couple weeks ago. I tried everything everyone's been suggesting in this community since November 2021, and then...this. Finally! This was the way for me. Did the "Force Stop" + clearing App Storage, then re-opened app and followed the prompts. Magically, the Bluetooth audio option appeared, and we were back in business.

I believe this is an issue related to Phone Link for Windows. I routinely join Teams Meetings in the morning on my phone via Bluetooth headset before turning on my PC. I've noticed with 100% repro rate that when I turn my PC on, as soon as Windows boots, my audio device on android automatically switches. Bluetooth also becomes unselectable in the output list on the Teams android app, even though it still appears in the list. If I switch my phone to Speaker, upon logging in to Windows, the audio device automatically switches back to default a second time. The only "fix" is to turn the Bluetooth earbuds off and on again.

I Haven't found a solution, but hopefully this information will be helpful to the team looking at this bug (if they are looking at all :D ).

Same issue. Tried the recommended resolutions. Ongoing trouble using Samsung S20 with T-Mobile branded firmware... which coincidentally updated today.

    Hi

    Had the same issue.

Go to the Settings” > “Applications” > find your Teams app from the app entry then tap it.

    Then go to the Permissions.

    Give permissions for devices nearby.

Go to the 3 dots on the top right corner for opening 'all permissions'.

Make sure permissions for devices nearby are:

    find bluetooth devices nearby

    connect with coupled bluetooth devices

I was able to get Teams on Android phone to connect to Bluetooth by going to Setting - Apps - Teams. Then I went to settings here to enable the permission to access Music and Audio. When I relaunched Teams, it connected to my bluetooth.
