I am using Teams app android to attend my online classes but I am facing issues with bluetooth speaker. I wanted to use Nest mini for audio output so I paired to it through bluetooth on my android device and audio output of all the apps work except teams. This issue seems to be only on android app because on the desktop app on windows 10 the same speaker works absolutely fine. In the android app when I try to switch the audio output to bluetooth, within a second it switches back to device audio. I tried on another android device as well but no luck. I am running the latest teams version (as no updates available in Play store). Any help is welcome.

You're right, it stopped working after the last update. The bluetooth device is listed, works with everything else (Signal, Whatsapp, Zoom, music, Threema, you name it) but not with Teams.
Come on Microsoft, how hard can it be? On Windows and MacOS it works perfect, just not the Android App.
Surprisingly the same issue resurfaced again since a couple of months and continued to be there even with the latest version of MS Teams available in market (v1416). None of the remedies really resolved the issue yet. Looks like MS needs to do a better version controlling of their codes. Meanwhile, if anyone has any workaround for this issue with the recent version, please let me know.
It is sad to see that this problem is still not solved. I can use by Bluetooth earphones with any apps on my android phone except Teams.
I was facing the same issue, weirdly when I switched to speaker the Bluetooth device started working

I still think it's something Teams should address automatically.
