Audio output through bluetooth not working in teams app android

I  am  using Teams  app  android  to  attend  my online classes  but I am facing issues  with bluetooth speaker. I wanted  to  use  Nest  mini  for  audio  output so  I   paired  to  it through bluetooth  on  my android device and  audio  output of  all  the  apps  work  except teams. This  issue  seems  to  be  only  on  android  app  because on  the  desktop app on  windows 10 the  same  speaker  works  absolutely fine. In  the  android app  when  I  try  to  switch  the  audio  output to  bluetooth, within  a  second it  switches  back  to  device  audio. I  tried on another android device as  well  but no luck. I  am  running the  latest  teams  version  (as  no  updates  available in  Play  store). Any  help  is  welcome.

When you say disconnect, you mean unpair it from your device, as in "forget this device" from the system settings?

Then if you pair it as it it's a new device AFTER you join the meeting, it will work?

    Thanks!

    I have the same problem.

Before I attend a meeting with my Android device, I can select my Bluetooth headset.

After I attend a meeting, I am unable to select my Bluetooth headset. The app simply switches sound back to "speaker" after I select "Bluetooth".

A fix for this: When I disconnect my Bluetooth headset before attending the meeting and reconnect after attending, I can select "Bluetooth".

I am experiencing the same issue on my Pixel using the Gear Buds 2. It started a while back with Teams automatically switching to Device when I would select Bluetooth during a call. No matter how many times I tried to select Bluetooth, it would go back to Device. Now it doesn't even list Bluetooth as an option in the dropdown. I am able to use my Bluetooth device with every other app on the phone, but not Teams. I have tried all of the troubleshooting steps above, including clearing the cache, uninstalling/reinstalling Teams as well as disconnecting and repairing the device with my phone.
