Audio output through bluetooth not working in teams app android

I  am  using Teams  app  android  to  attend  my online classes  but I am facing issues  with bluetooth speaker. I wanted  to  use  Nest  mini  for  audio  output so  I   paired  to  it through bluetooth  on  my android device and  audio  output of  all  the  apps  work  except teams. This  issue  seems  to  be  only  on  android  app  because on  the  desktop app on  windows 10 the  same  speaker  works  absolutely fine. In  the  android app  when  I  try  to  switch  the  audio  output to  bluetooth, within  a  second it  switches  back  to  device  audio. I  tried on another android device as  well  but no luck. I  am  running the  latest  teams  version  (as  no  updates  available in  Play  store). Any  help  is  welcome.

Was fighting with this for a while and finally got it resolved. Posting details in case they useful to others.

Pixel 6 pro, pixel A-series buds.

The only process that worked for me was the following:

    • close the app
    • clear the cache and data of the teams app
    • turn on/connected the ear buds
    • now open teams when the ear buds are connected

Update - I just found out that disabling HD Audio on Bluetooth device settings will allow Teams to use Bluetooth devices.

This is what I'm greeted in the bluetooth menu. And you already saw what Teams thinks of this situation :)
