Managing sound and video settings during Teams meetings and calls
Same here, brand new phone and install, no other bluetooth devices paired. It simply won't switch to bluetooth audio output, reverts to "Device". All else works.

I am using Teams app android to attend my online classes but I am facing issues with bluetooth speaker. I wanted to use Nest mini for audio output so I paired to it through bluetooth on my android device and audio output of all the apps work except teams. This issue seems to be only on android app because on the desktop app on windows 10 the same speaker works absolutely fine. In the android app when I try to switch the audio output to bluetooth, within a second it switches back to device audio. I tried on another android device as well but no luck. I am running the latest teams version (as no updates available in Play store). Any help is welcome.

well, in my case I found the culprit. It was the bluetooth connection of the Withings Smartwatch which blocked not only Teams but also disabled the bluetooth connection to my car. Interesting enough is that apart from Teams and Phone, all other bluetootha applications were not in trouble, so I could listen to spotify, youtube and otehr music on my phone with bluetooth, but as said, Teams stopped working on Bluetooth. Very mysterious. Just deleting the bluetooth connection to the Withings watch was not enough though. I had to reset the watch to make sure it would not attempt connecting. Once the bluetooth pairing on both sides was gone, Teams worked again without trouble with all bluetooth devices. I really don;t know who's to blame, Micrsoft or Withings.
This issue happened when 2 devices were connected to my bluetooth, I guess due to this teams app gets confused which device to connect, I unpaired 1 device and only let one device connected to bluetooth my problem was solved.
point is don't connect multiple devices to bluetooth while using teams app
this is a bug which needs to be solved by microsoft,
application must recongnize the audio device from the list of connected bluetooth devices and connnect automatically to it.
