Instead of the appropriate whiteboard being presented by the teacher in an online class, I am greeted by a black screen. This problem only affected me during the entire class, while others are seeing the whiteboard fine. Facing the same problem when I tried to attend the lecture through Microsoft Teams App in my Android phone. No whiteboard, but a black screen.

On my system it seems to be caused by the screen aspect ratio.
I have 3 screens, my laptop screen is 1920x1080 and my 2 external monitors are 1920x1200 and one of them is my primary screen.
When I share screen1 which is a 1920x1200 screen the other party sees a black screen.
When I share my 1920x1080 screen all works fine.
I should probably test what happens if both me and the person I'm sharing to have a 1920x1200 screen. Just to make sure both should have the same aspect ratio or that it only works with normal 16:9 ratio....
When you say it doesn't work on your tablet I can imagine that that isn't a 16:9 screen while the teacher is sharing a 16:9 screen
But of course it is still possible the teacher is not sharing a 16:9 screen but I would expect every student to have the same issue...
Anyway, hopefully I provided you with something to think about :)
I might find out tomorrow as I'll be giving training to a large group of people and the chance that someone has an alternative aspect ratio is rather big :)
I have the same issue - in MS Teams android app (on Samsung tablet and on chromebook) - when I open whiteboard which is presented by teacher I only see black screen. If I use MS teams web app (on same chromebook) I can see the whiteboard.
Same problem here. It started just a few days ago. The whiteboard app shows black screen, black background, and it can not be changed.
So the whiteboard is a "black"board.
Reinstalling Teams is not a solution, it does not help.
The same error is raised by more users, so its a Teams / whiteboard bug.
I am using the teams app on windows 10 and when I share my screen my students can't see it or they see a black screen. I suggested to leave the session and join again . sometimes it works but I am not satisfied with this because i need to wait till the student join again. Also, why I can't record my whiteboard on teams ?? I can record it on zoom when I used the app but on teams I can't. I need a solution for both problems.
