Hello,

My in built microphone on my laptop works well with other  and is good on the voice recorder but I cannot take part in audio conversations on Teams because others in the conversation cannot hear me. I have tried settings on Teams and on my laptop control panel but haven't been able to fix the problem. Can anyone help?

My girlfriend has the same problem, and using the browser version do solve the problem. Thanks mate!

Browser version is not as good though, really hope that Microsoft can look into it.

    Hello,

As others have said, this does not work. My mic still does not work when I am testing. This is only an issue with Microsoft Teams on my computer, not a BB Collaborate, Zoom or Skype issue. Is there no solution for this since this issue was flagged back in March? My entire team uses Teams and the entire team will need to move to a new platform if there is no solution.

Same issue as others - the microphone array built into the HP Envy laptop works from from Zoom.  On Teams, the gain is so low that I have to press my face against the screen in order to be heard.  External USB microphone works fine.  From the Sounds control panel, with loopback on, the built in array mike works fine.  The problem is something very specific to the Teams app.

I have the very same issue with my built in micrphone on a Dell 7537 and the newest Microsoft Teams Version 1.3.00.21759 (64 bit).

I was prompted to upgrade the MS Teams version and now on a Test Call my built in micrphone is almost inaudible, people I try to talk to say it is either too low or breaks up. Nothing I can do in Wiindows 10 seems to have any effect on the problem, Skype also has the same problem so it looks like something that was recently updated either in Skype, Teams or Windows has changed the performance.

3rd party Apps, Audacity, OBS Studio, Voice Recorder have no problem with the built in microphone.

    Cortana and Dictation work fine.

I've also tested a PLT Legend BT Headset, and found the same huge differential between 3rd party Apps and Skype or MS Teams. It's almost like the latest verions MS Teams or Skype have taken noise reduction to an extreme level.

Before the latest problems if I had a problem it tended to be the very opposite, the microphone was too loud causing audio clipping, so I know it is not a hardware issue.

There must be a parameter somewhere that can be adjusted.
