Microphone very quiet on Teams

Hello, 

My in built microphone on my laptop works well with other  and is good on the voice recorder but I cannot take part in audio conversations on Teams because others in the conversation cannot hear me. I have tried settings on Teams and on my laptop control panel but haven't been able to fix the problem. Can anyone help?

    I have my sound control panel open. When I unmute in teams my microphone volume goes down from 100 to 62(i have it set to 100). That is only when i unmute and speak or mute again. I have turned off voice muffling or whatever it was called and the problem continues. @Microsoft make this quietting an option instead of forcing it. I'm on a desktop computer headset mic.

    Yep and the test call is too low for me and I took off suppressing background noise? Why so Low in Zoom it is fine?

    I have Dell Precision laptop with Windows 10. On this laptop, using the same OS settings regarding microphone, I can be heard just fine in conference calls over Google Meet or Slack but I cannot be heard when using Skype (UWP) or Microsoft Teams together with headphones. I have tried several headphones types going from Samsung hands-free set through over the ear headphones with a microphone.

    In Skype and Microsoft Teams calls I have to literally place the microphone between my lips so that the others can hear me. When I'm using the laptop integrated mic it is slightly better but even then I have to get my face close to the integrated microphone.

    My question is why using the same OS settings and the same headset Google Meet and Slack works perfectly but Teams and Skype requires me to literally yell so that I can be heard.

    Yes I hv the same problem. I tried doing  test call and realized that my voice gets cut off after abt 2 seconds and nothing can be heard thereafter.  I'm using a PC. The mic works perfectly fine on zoom, the problem is with teams. Please give a solution to fix this.

    I've been having this issue too. One thing that seemed to work for a while was to go to Control Panel>Sound>Recording>*Select your device>*Properties>Advancedand then uncheck "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device."

    I started having the issue again and when I came back to that setting it was checked again...
