Hello,

My in built microphone on my laptop works well with other  and is good on the voice recorder but I cannot take part in audio conversations on Teams because others in the conversation cannot hear me. I have tried settings on Teams and on my laptop control panel but haven't been able to fix the problem. Can anyone help?

Thank you in advance.

thanks for the feedback. was hoping someone had a solution that didn't involve an external microphone.

seems the issue is software based given the Laptop microphone works perfectly fine on all other calls etc.

The only workaround I can recommend you is to use a USB microphone, not the integrated one or one connected through the Jack port. I've tested this solution with a webcam and with Microsoft LifeChat LX-3000 headset (USB connected) and the microphone volume is normal.

    I have a similar issue.

when using my Desktop App it works fine but people can hardly hear me if i am on a call with multiple people. i then switch to the online app and it works fine, super frustrating as i use my desktop then have to switch to the online one for calls with multiple people. online isnt as good as the desktop.

has anyone found a solution to this?

As the audio works well in every other app and plays music and I can hear perfectly well when it comes to Zoom calls etc  I assume that would mean, forgive me if I am wrong and not showing my ignorance, I repeat I assume that would mean that audio drivers are installed in my laptop!

As they are and have been checked and updated and work very well as I say with every other way of hearing things through my laptop EXCEPT for MICROSOFT TEAMS!!!!

It is not an installation of Audio drivers

I have the same issue as Dufton.  Definitely a Teams issue.

Try running a Teams meeting test in the Settings menu under Devices. Get close to the Mic and talk as loud as you can, if it plays back as a very low voice then what you are experiencing is a Driver issue not a Windows Teams issue. You will need to contact the the hardware provider (Dell, Lenovo, etc...) it would be an issue they need to fix.

This isn't the case for me.  Zoom, join.me, etc all work with expected volumes (I'm using a logitec headset).  When using Teams, and ONLY Teams, the volume is extremely low.  For me, this is an app issue, not a driver issue.  If other apps are working as expected, then so should Teams...
