Microphone very quiet on Teams

Hello, 

My in built microphone on my laptop works well with other  and is good on the voice recorder but I cannot take part in audio conversations on Teams because others in the conversation cannot hear me. I have tried settings on Teams and on my laptop control panel but haven't been able to fix the problem. Can anyone help?

    Hi...

    I had the same problem but I tried using teams online (via google chrome) instead of on the app and it worked fine.

    I have a similar problem,

    Interestingly its when I share the same laptop with my husband in a Teams call or meeting. Once he speaks, Teams cuts my voice out.

    Its as if the background filter registers my voice as background noise. I have to speak in the very center of the laptop to be heard but it continues to cut out my voice intermittently. 

    This does not happen in other apps such as Skype for business or Zoom.

    Dear Microsoft,

      I am having this issue too and it affects our professional lives performance here, can you simply add a volume slider to the microsoft? windows 10 does not have friendly microphone controls and your application lacks them does not solve it, by comparison on one of your products (Skype) I had the same issue and there was a volume slider so I could fix it easily.

      This problem is just a volume issue, should we be able to select the desired microphone volume we could close this.

    yup, I have the same problem in Teams, microphone is either very quiet or does not hear me at all.

    Brand new Dell Laptop, all other apps fine, mic turned up to 84% in settings.
