Hello,

My in built microphone on my laptop works well with other  and is good on the voice recorder but I cannot take part in audio conversations on Teams because others in the conversation cannot hear me. I have tried settings on Teams and on my laptop control panel but haven't been able to fix the problem. Can anyone help?

Thank you in advance.

Tried all of this, and still no luck. I am on yet another teams call with 10 other people and the response was "it sounds like you are talking from the bottom of a tunnel".

-Input volumes... all 100 % (including Teams app).

-Teams Settings: Automatically Adjust Mic Sensitivity*: OFF (*this appears to be a brand new setting, BUT IT DOES NOTHING TO FIX THIS PROBLEM)

    -Teams Settings: Noise Suppression: OFF

Again at my wit's end. Have been with IT, on multiple forums, re-installed Teams multiple times.

Teams is, at its core, a phone call system.

    No one can hear me.

And to clarify... this is only on MS Teams. Other programs on the laptop (Zoom, etc.) sound works perfectly fine.

    This is crazy.

Same problem on a brand new Dell XPS 13 9310 with internal intel smart sound technology for digital microphone driver. Sound is fine if I record it using windows voice recording but very low on Teams.

Please add a volume slider for microphone input... this should not be an issue but I see I'm not the only one with it, it affects our professional performance, specially if organizations plan on phasing out soon Skype, MSTeams is not yet a suitable replacement.

From what I've experienced, it looks like teams is regulating the recording volume. Almost like a noise suppression function that is set way to sensitive. When making a test call everything works fine, only when in an actual meeting the problem occurs.
