Export messages from Teams Chat?

I'm wondering if it is possible to export conversations in Teams?  Also I'm just having trouble organizing my Team chats and finding messages from more than a month or two ago?  Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

    Read through months of this thread to get to this work-around and find that it only works for very short chats. The chat I need to preserve is a couple months of roughly weekly chats. Tried to pop-out the chat then use ctrl-A but it only copies what's visible in the popout chat window. So THEN waited patiently while scrolling to the very beginning of the chat in May 2021 and did the mouse click hold and scroll routine to get back to today's chat, then ctrl-C to copy, ctrl-V to paste into a blank Word document. All this to find out that the entire chat didn't get selected but only the last couple hours! I couldn't even copy today's complete chat log!

    I agree with the many other heated replies that this is a critical function that needs a MUCH HIGHER priority in the Teams Dev backlog. This plus other limitations makes it difficult to fully use Teams as the primary groups collaboration tool.

    Hope all is well.

    We are totally understand your situation and fully agree with you. As far as we know, there is no ETA for this feature. But from the backend, seems they are working on the related settings, like the Teams Export related Microsoft Graph API is in development, etc.

    We will continue to monitor this feature, and this thread.

    @Rudy Xu MSFT, that sort of works. Format is sort of preserved. Some items such as the reactions to comments are copied like a full page of emoticons. Pictures are not copied. For large chats it only copies part of it.

    Given that there is no other way to do it this is the least terrible way to copy a chat. However that is still not usable.

    Please pop out that conversation via click Pop out chat option, then press Ctrl + A to select all content, and then Ctrl + C\V to copy/paste them into Word.

    Totally agree. I've been trying to select a whole conversation that go back for some time and copy/paste into Word, but it only copies only so much at a time and that takes too long to do that copying the whole conversations. There's gotta be a quicker/better way.
