In a Teams meeting, is it possible to turn the Gallery view OFF (in the same way that the Participant list can be displayed/hidden)?

Gallery view is great for a multi-party conversation. But when I'm viewing a presentation and the presenter is doing a screen share, I find little value in watching other attendees drink their coffee, scratch their nose, and generally engage in monkey-grooming behavior as if they were looking in a mirror and not a camera.

    Now in Focus mode, my picture still remains, so it does not change the shared screen size at all. Seems like a bug recently introduced. How do I remove my picture?

    Having the same issue, and seems to be only recent. Before toggling on/off focus and full screen would get me to a decent view but now only the meeting members names disappear, yet the gallery bar remains. Frustrating.

    Yes, this seems like an unwanted gift for 2022!

    Makes the already bad UI even worse.

    i thought it was my issue. looks like it is some worst update ever.... when i want to focus on content, i would like to see my whole screen, i dont want that gallery blocking my way.

    please give us an option to remove it totally. zoom are much better in this...
