I want to triple-click a message, copy it to the clipboard, then paste it in whichever application, and I don't want to see the header (time and sender information).
Yes, it is possible to carefully select parts of a message, and make sure you don't snag the beginning or end of the message so you don't "grab" the header. This is not what I'm looking for. I want a one-click-solution.
I found this post dating from 2013, about Skype/Lync. I'm looking for the same thing in Teams.

EDIT: I feel for those who liked or needed this feature, but unfortunately, it seems that in their determination to become like Apple, Microsoft has also decided to make choices for users rather than giving them the option.
That is true!!! FINALLY!!! MS finally quite this non-sense of bringing the header automatically when selecting the text.
I hope they added a flag somewhere allowing users to chose if they want the header together or not. In my case, 90%+ of the situations I don't want the header. I feel logical that if I want the header, I would select it together with the message and then copy it.
THX @Microsoft!!! Took only 3 years but you finally fixed it. And it was not there in first place! You should just have left the way it was at first.
I depend upon the names and timestamps being included in copied messages. I include snippets and conversational history in documentation of work and conversations done.
I noticed this morning that this has just "gone away". I can't find an option to turn it back on.
Complainers and whiners are not the only users, and a documented option (or override available on the right-click menu) is the better solution to them, rather than the recent MS trend of just removing (or hiding?) some feature because someone(s) complained about it.
I just tested now and the header is still coming up when you "triple click" on the paragraph.
I really don't like when things are enforced. I want the header there when I want it and I hate it there when I don't want it. Teams even created a feature to forward messages to others which comes nicely showing who sent it.
MS should create a simple flag "Copy header when copying entire content of a message" and if I mostly need it, I mark it, and if I mostly don't need it, I uncheck it. It would make our day by day less annoying to have to avoid this "enforced" behavior that a single person in MS decided "it's mostly needed" based his very narrow / ignorant point of view and his sole decision affects millions of people on daily basis since several years already.
As an efficient work-around, once you triple click on the message, hold Shift and hit keyboard left once, it will unselect the hidden content at the end of the visible text that represents the header.
I chanced across this topic because the headers stopped showing on my copy/paste from teams. I hope this new behavior (not keeping the name/date) is a bug. I regularly need to copy chains of text from teams and keep the timestamp and username. It's possible to delete that information if you don't need it, but it would be impossibly difficult to add it when it's not there. Ideally there would be setting to change copy behavior, not removing the feature. It's definitely not a bug.
