How do you copy Teams message without time and sender information?

2 other really stupid changes, ranked at the top 3 worst things that Microsoft have ever done:

1. Moving the Outlook search bar to the top, having that horrible dropdown coming over the ribbons, forcing you to do extra clicks in case you want to search on more specific fields. On my computer that dropdown takes about 5 seconds to only appear and the search is really slow!
2. They disappeared with the "Date Search" field into the search ribbon. That was SO USEFUL and it's just gone. I can still manually search by date using the keyword "received:" but man!! How stupid was that? What was wrong with that field? Why removing it?

Anyway, let's not diverge the conversation here, I need Benedik to confirm he opened a request for improvement or even a defect request to "Microsoft Teams" team to fix and/or change that default functionality.

this bug its quite easily one of the dumbest things Microsoft has ever implemented, which is quite a benchmark.

Hi Benedik, your answer gave no solution. You practically quoted what the original question said about selecting the text carefully. That is too much effort! If I want the header then I also select the header together with the text, there should be the way! Not the header coming automatically. Microsoft is full or certain "innovative" changes in user experience that end up being horrible.

Can you submit a request internal request to change this functionality to stop bringing the header together? It was not there at beginning, this is a PROBLEM that started within last 1 year.

To be able to copy Teams message without timestamp and sender information, all you have to do is to NOT use double click of mouse to select the text you want to copy, neither Ctrl+A.

Just use mouse cursor to select a text you wish to copy, once highlighted, press Ctrl+C and paste with standard Ctrl+V.

Microsoft Teams Version 1.6.00.1381 (64-bit).

The worst part actually is, sometimes when you copy text, it ONLY copies the timestamp and name and completely removes everything you actually highlighted. How about they make usernames highlight-able, and only add the timestamp when I highlight the entire line in chat, and make it so double clicking the text doesn't highlight the timestamp!

If a coworker sends me the path to a file I need in the shared drive, and I paste it into the file explorer, ONLY THE TIMESTAMP IS COPIED! Someone had to go out of their way to make it so what is highlighted, isn't what is copied. It makes my head spin how this could happen, and the fact it's been like this FOR YEARS!
