Black screen camera on Microsoft Teams desktop app

Today I had a meeting where I needed my camera turned on but it wasn't working. I checked the preview of the camera and it shows only black screen.

I've tried anything I could to resolve the problem ( check for privacy settings, update camera drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled the camera device , uninstalled and reinstalled teams, reboot the laptop multiple times ). The camera works on any other app except MT desktop app. It also doesn't let me do the screen share thing.

Any help? I really need it solved so I can be able to take my exams.

I don't know if it's me, but it looks like you're experiencing this issue:

    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msteams/forum/all/microsoft-teams-shows-black-screen-for-both/a4e1a1d8-1212-46f5-98e5-baa259b7f3cb?tm=1590598272695

I too have this problem and went through all the troubleshooting steps :

-Camera works in other apps (Zoom, Windows Camera App)

-Uninstalled the camera drivers, rebooted and reinstalled the drivers: it fixed the issue the first time it happened (last week), but the issue came back a few days later

-Installed all available Windows Update (I'm using 1903)

    -Uninstalled Teams, rebooted and reinstalled

The issue seems to be affecting Insider Preview users, but I'm using 1903 on that particular computer

    Thanks for your help

I'm using 1903 too. So the problem might be from the OS? I went through all those steps too but still doesn't work.

I'll try to update to 1909 during the next hour. I'll let you know if it changes anything.

No luck......but after investigating, I found out that the issue only occurs in a particular user profile. I'm still trying to figure out how to solve it without destroying the user profile because it would be like killing a fly with a bazooka and I still want to understand why and how this is happening to make sure other users won't encounter the same issue in the future.
