Black screen camera on Microsoft Teams desktop app

Today I had a meeting where I needed my camera turned on but it wasn't working. I checked the preview of the camera and it shows only black screen.

I've tried anything I could to resolve the problem ( check for privacy settings, update camera drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled the camera device , uninstalled and reinstalled teams, reboot the laptop multiple times ). The camera works on any other app except MT desktop app. It also doesn't let me do the screen share thing.

Any help? I really need it solved so I can be able to take my exams.

    Doesn't look like the same thing:
    "This issue is specific to the standard gallery mode."
    Most of the people affected in here don't get the see their camera in ANY fashion at all it's always completely black.
    In summary people have:

    • completely fixed this problem on PC by reinstalling drivers
    • fixed this problem on macOS by restarting to macOS and open Teams and then restart on Windows Bootcamp. (this doesn't look like a definitive solution though)

    Yes! So simple, and now it works (even on a Mac). For anyone else, try going to your computer camera settings and allow camera to access Teams. Thanks!

    This led to a solution for me.  I noticed Logicapture was listed twice in the applications that were allowed to use the camera.  I uninstalled and reinstalled Logicapture.

    Unfortunatley, it is not only Teams.

    Also Skype, in its desktop version, presents exactly the same issue. Black video when camera is enabled, even if the green light near the camera is on.

    It is most problably a OS issue, related to some recent Windows 10 update (before the last updates, Facetime HD Camera was working properly!).
