Black screen camera on Microsoft Teams desktop app

Today I had a meeting where I needed my camera turned on but it wasn't working. I checked the preview of the camera and it shows only black screen.

I've tried anything I could to resolve the problem ( check for privacy settings, update camera drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled the camera device , uninstalled and reinstalled teams, reboot the laptop multiple times ). The camera works on any other app except MT desktop app. It also doesn't let me do the screen share thing.

Any help? I really need it solved so I can be able to take my exams.

    MacBook Pro with Bootcamp Win10 Pro x64.

    Same issues. Camera shows black screen when enabled in a meeting. 

    Tried setting all the security and privacy settings. Did re-boots and re-installs of MS Team. Nothing worked. 

    I finally booted into Mac OS and updated MS Teams to latest version.  Did a test video call to make sure everything is working in Mac OS. When I booted back into Windows again the camera was working. Hope this helps!

    MacBook Pro with Win10 Pro x64 installed, same issues. Tried all the trouble shooting steps you all mentioned other than blasting away my user profile. Even tried reverting to an older build of Teams to no avail.

    After reinstalling all bootcamp drivers with a repair function, it was working for about a month. Then I would get a PC performance warning in Teams during video calls that would auto shut off my camera. I think there is something related to Teams auto throttling perhaps. Tried messing around with GPU settings (Radeon Pro) without hope.

    This morning updates MacOS to latest and booted back into Windows and it works. SMH

    !! This worked for me. 

    I had the same experience today -- within Windows 10, Facetime Built-In camera with Teams app had been working again for a few days. (And it had been working fine with different apps and switching between).

    I used it this morning for a meeting, then got on a Zoom meeting in which the camera worked fine, then tried to get on a Teams call and was back to the black screen. 

    I just tried rebooting in OSX, checking that the camera was working on that Teams app, then restarted again in Windows 10 -- and now the camera is back to working in Teams.

    Not sure what to make of it, but it did work as you experienced.

    What I noticed today for at least second time: (this was the second time i got the picture back after trying for a while this year. I had this issue already in December if I remember correctly)

    All the morning the Camera worked perfectly. No Problems.

    But after I used Google Meet for a one meeting via Chrome browser, the camera started showing only black picture in Teams desktop app.

    (all the other apps and chrome worked still ok)

    Closing and restarting Teams app didn't help.

    Logging out from teams, restarting the app and logging back in to Teams didn't help.

    I think that last time when I had this, booting helped to make the camera work a gain but today event that didn't help.

    What I needed to do was boot to OsX, use the Teams on that side and checked that camera works on that side.

    (checked via teams app settings and had short adhoc video meeting with my self)

    Then boot back to WIn10.

    And then the camera started working again...

    Teams win10 app: 1.3.00.28779 (64-bit). updated on 11.1.2021.

    Win10 2004 , 120.2212.551.0
