Downgrading from Windows 10 22H2 to 1507 for Work Requirements

A work requirement necessitates using Windows 10 version 1507 due to compatibility with specific software. Currently using version 22H2, but dual booting is not feasible due to limited storage space. Additionally, a virtual machine cannot be utilized for the same reason. The computer is an Asus Vivobook Flip 14 from 2019, originally shipped with version 2004 and upgraded to 22H2. Questions include:

  • Are the drivers from version 2004 compatible with Windows 10 1507?
  • Is it possible to downgrade without losing personal files, or is data loss inevitable during the process?

Any guidance on these issues would be greatly appreciated.

    • Are the drivers from version 2004 compatible with Windows 10 1507? May not be compatible with 1507, especially for newer Intel graphics, Wi-Fi, touchpad, and power management components.
    • Is it possible to downgrade without losing personal files, or is data loss inevitable during the process? Microsoft doesn't provide an official downgrade path from 22H2 to 1507

    Microsoft no longer officially hosts it, but it’s still available in the web and there remains potential risk of downloading from third party source.

    Files from the 22H2 installation can be backed up manually or by Windows.

    If you're able to find the windows 1507 iso it can be clean installed.

    Drivers and applications need to be reinstalled.
