I agree. What idiot took the ability away to resize the toolbar? It doesn't hamper performance, doesn't mess with any apps, and doesn't lessen security.

I am with you on this. I also have always had my taskbar on the side of the screen. I have had my new Windows 11 laptop less than an hour and a half and already I am hating Windows 11! Hey, Microsoft...Whose bright idea was it to TAKE AWAY functionality??

They removed that feature but you can get a small registry file called Explorer Patcher through soft pedia and that will turn your taskbar back into the Windows 10 format

I downloaded that file, it never worked right and now it messed with how I interact with other apps (calculator app won't let me enter a number with a decimal)! I don't know how to uninstall it unless I do a recovery of my computer.

I've been using it for close to a year now and I haven't had any problems that calculator problem sounds like something besides the explorer patcher and the folder that you downloaded with the Explorer Patcher had an uninstalled item with it because it was just a registry edit so you just use that uninstall item and it removes it from the registry With the calculator problem I've had something similar before try going into your settings and uninstall the calculator and reinstall it and that should fix it Sometimes app updates for the calculator or windows updates can cause glitches for stuff like that i've had glitches with Microsoft store before because of a Windows update
