I was happy with Win 10 but finally allowed Win 11 to install after it kept asking every day.

Now I have to go to an extra step to open apps because I can't raise the height of the taskbar to show all my app icons - I have to click on an overflow ... icon first, revealing a hard to see set of icons on a light background.

I see people have been complaining about this for a year with no fixes by Microsoft.

If you go to "help" it gives the Win 10 information about changing taskbar height, but doesn't tell you it's for Win 10 and not Win 11. I spent a long time trying to figure out why I couldn't do what it said.

I guess the idiot that decided not to allow the taskbar to be larger is still employed, somehow.

Nailed it. It has been brought to MS attention right after the 11 release

So I install Win11 and the very first thing I wanted to do was customise the taskbar to sit to the right.

How is it even possible that this isn't featured anymore and how is it possible a year later this thread has gone nowhere!!!! Microsoft fix this!

Hi I posted about this before but I found out from my pc tech guy about "Explorer Patcher" is a small registry file {like Take Ownership} that sets the taskbar features back to Windows 10 style/performance. I have been using it since beginning of August on a new Hp Windows 11 Pro with no problems.
