After updating to windows 11, the option to customize "Choose a file to show on this folder icon" does not change the folder's display image even after applying, I have tried the solutions displayed here " https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/insider/forum/all/folder-icon-thumbnails-broken-windows-11-pro/0e60c9ee-e5f0-4e6d-80c9-42cf2f89752e " but it did not solve the issue, I also do not have the option to revert to windows 10 where this problem never occurred

As Scott stated WE NEED "FOLDER.JPG" to work again. WIn11 is definitely a downgraded version of Win10 for amateurs, I will then wait for Win12...

It is sad that people have to beg for a feature that has been in every windows version I can remember to be added back to what the dictators ad microsoft force on us is it not?

Yeah... Without a full view of the folder art, it's pure trash. This attempt is lame beyond words. I have no Idea why M.S. would not want users to have a full view of folder art. To cripple a feature like this is (In my opinion) insanity. I keep one computer with Windows 11 on it for educational (and validation of my frustration with it.) purposes. So far, it just seems like a severely crippled version of Windows 10, with a few changes obviously designed to frustrate long time users, cripple productivity/usability and cause unneeded extra clicks. No new computer for me for a while unless (in an emergency) I can special order one with Windows 10. I guess someone in an office somewhere thought changing the U.I. just "looked good". They put the functions they say are used the most on top, and damn professionals that have to use extra clicks to get to the now buried menu options that they use the most, No option to bring back the longer (more versatile) context menu.

I would like to se the folder.jpg functionality fully restored. It would be equally irresponsible for M.S. to make people with existing folder art to have to redo or restore cover art to thousands of (and years of accumulated) folders because some executive decided to eliminate something that actually works.
