I am unable to set-up a new PIN as it asks for a security code to be sent on a number I no longer have. I just updated my number on microsoft accounts and it says will take 30 days before it takes effect. Now I can't even log into my laptop. No option for password login or to change to a local account. Someone HELP!!!

I restarted my pc it shows " your pin is not available" instead of this i typed my ms account password it shows incorrect. Then after click on troubleshooting to open command prompt option but it requires password to continue then i typed password as it my ms account but it shows incorrect . What is the cause of this problem .. can i get a clue or help me ??

Yesterday I had the same problem with my Asus laptop with windows 10 pro. I flashed the BIOS/UEFI with a new update and TPM got broken.
I got so frustrated with this, I pushed shift and restart, then try everyone of the options in the recovery options and not able to do anything. This was because every option ended in a password requirement that did not work, it was the exact same password and didn't work.
Lastly, after millions of attempts, I made a w11 USB installer, almost giving up. And by luck, I used USE A DEVICE OPTION with the USB with w11.
Then after clicking on repair, the same menu appeared, but I tried the command prompt and it worked! the CMD appeared without password!
Then I followed the video instructions and I was able to login! worked like a charm. I don't know if disabling TPM in the UEFI made the trick but I was lucky!

I don’t get the troubleshooting option it just brings me back to the “you pin is no longer” screen I have been doing this for hours
My solution:
I ran into the same issue ytd, trying to reset my computer without knowing my PIN won't work afterwards.
Initially, I wanted all of my files to be removed, so I chose "Remove everything". After it's done, this issue popped up.
Fortunately, in the end I managed to solve this issue by resetting my computer again, selecting "Keep my files" option, and "Local Reinstall". It also involves changing your microsoft password in my case. Hope it helps.
Yes, after trying other proffered solutions, your last paragraph was all that worked for me in my case. Note though that since I use Firefox portable installs on a partition and and many apps run from another drive, and I had backed use my Appdata User files, then this was not as time-consuming as it otherwise could be in order to attain the degree of customization Windows benefits from for efficiency and visibility, Thank God!
However, it remains that MS should correct this, as well as the lack of recourse when they block users on this forum.
