Can't install the Gaming Services from the Microsoft store. It says acquiring license than all of the sudden a message that says "Something Happened On Our End. Try Again Later".

Can you verify that the device is fully up to date by checking for updates?

• Go to your Settings
• Navigate to Windows Update on the left panel and click it

If there are updates available for install, you can install them and restart your PC.

If you've just restarted your PC after installing updates, navigate back to the Windows Update window and select "Check for updates". If there's nothing, then your computer is fully up to date.

If there were no updates available already, you can click "Check for updates". If there's nothing, then your computer is fully up to date.

Once your computer is fully up to date, try launching the service that requires the Gaming services (ex: the Xbox app on PC) to verify if they are available or not.

If that didn't help, you can try manually reinstalling the Gaming Services by following the steps below:

Reinstall the Gaming Services app on your Windows 10/11 device:

1. Select the Search icon on the taskbar, type powershell, right-click on Windows PowerShell, and then select Run as administrator.
2. In Windows PowerShell, type the following command and press Enter: get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers
3. In the same window, type the following command and press Enter: start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN
4. Install the app on that page and select Yes when you receive the User Account Control (UAC) prompt.
5. Restart your device and try to install the game again.

Hi, XBF Dom!

My friend has Windows 10. None of this helped though.

We find out that he can't install any apps like the gaming services, Tiktok, or some taskbar app.

Also, we observed that for all the apps that he is trying to install above the download bar it pops up a message that says "acquiring license" and after some time an error shows up that says "Something Happened On Our End. Try Again Later"

I honestly think that it's something to do with this license or something...

I have the same problem and tried all the steps yesterday, nothing seemed to of worked but noticed today - The Blue bar at the bottom is the Xbox App open behind store page, it still asks me to install Gaming Services but as you can see it shows under apps as if already installed. It will not 'update' and stops after acquiring license

I tried this solution, and I'm also in the same boat. It wont download anything from the store.
