app buttons missing in windows 11 - epson scan

recently upgrade to Win 11 and it generally seems ok.

1 issue though is that the action buttons on epson scan no longer show (preview, scan etc)

if you click on the area they should be they still work and then appear- which is great if you know where all the buttons are!

it worked perfectly fine the 10 min before i did the upgrade then had this issue immediately after.

so far only found the issue on this one app

any thoughts on resolution.

    I have a Epson Stylus NX625 with the same problem. I updated the drivers and utilities and can't even get the ALT button solution to work. Still no Preview and Scan Buttons. I'd try the patch (Epson Scan Patch Installer EPSONScan_W11P_20211102_S.exe) if I could locate where to download it. I was completely lost on the Japanese site and the Australian site does not list my printer/scanner model. Any help is greatly appreciated.

In your case Epson Stylus NX625<br><br>- Check list for your printer - It's the first on the 2nd row. - click<br><br>- Check that operating system is correct - I had to change to Windows 11 (Go)<br><br>- Go down to Utilities + to open up - <br><br> Select Common Updater for Epson Scan V1.0.0 + (click on download)<br><br> **** 08/24/18 1.07 MB ESCU_1.0.0.0.exe <br><br>- Open up to execute and follow instructions<br><br>You should be able to Scan & preview buttons. - If not try restarting your computer.<br><br>I hope this works.

    Thanks for the suggestion. I tried this to no avail. I was able to use the ALT button method after I installed this for about a day, but today Epson Scan doesn't even open, I get the "Cannot communicate with scanner" error message.

    Try rebooting - I had the same "Cannot communicate with scanner" issue and it was resolved by a reboot.
